RED began with a simple belief
Not everyone wants or can secure a traditional job, and not every person should have to fit themselves into one. Work can be shaped around the person: their strengths, interests, energy, routines, ambitions and support needs.
RED was created to make that possibility real.
Born from lived experience and enterprise
RED grew from the lived experience of disability and a lifetime spent building enterprises, social businesses and cooperative models. One of its founders, Dr Guy Turnbull, recognised that many of the skills he had developed while navigating his own disability—ingenuity, work arounds, determination, courage, risk awareness and the ability to find another way—were also the skills he had used as an entrepreneur.
That insight became a key foundation of RED.
From a workshop to an enterprise ecosystem
What began as Rapid Enterprise Development workshops has grown into a complete pathway. Today, RED brings together discovery, enterprise coaching, practical assistance, online learning, workbooks, business-planning tools, Founder stories and intelligent support through Ask RED™.
Every part of the ecosystem is designed to help a Founder move from possibility to action.
Built with the people who use it
RED Founders, families, coaches, Enterprise Assistants and our Advisory Group continue to shape and strengthen what we do. Lived experience is not an addition to RED. It is integral to how RED thinks, learns and grows.
Through RED Online™, Ask RED™ and, in time, carefully selected partners in The RED Collaborative™, more people will be able to access The RED Method™ in their own communities—without losing the human, person-led approach that makes RED distinctive.
